Privacy Policy

PDFOne is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the app's functionality.

• Files you select: PDF and image files you choose are processed locally on your device. They are never transmitted to PDFOne servers or any third party.
• Usage data: We do not collect analytics or usage telemetry through PDFOne itself.
• Subscription data: If you subscribe to PDFOne Premium, your purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status — never your payment details.

The free version of PDFOne displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

• Device identifiers (advertising ID)
• General location (country / region)
• Ad interaction data (clicks, impressions)

This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can reset or opt out of personalised ads in your Android device settings under Google → Ads.

PDFOne Premium users see no ads and no AdMob data is collected.

The Scan to PDF feature requires camera access. Camera images are used solely to create PDF documents on your device. No images are stored beyond the document you choose to save, and no images are sent to any server.

PDFOne requests storage access to:

• Read files you select to process (PDF, image)
• Save processed files to your Downloads folder

On Android 10+, files are saved via MediaStore to Downloads/PDFOne/. We do not read or access any other files on your device beyond those you explicitly select.

PDFOne does not retain any user data on external servers because none is ever sent. Temporary processing files are stored in your device's cache directory and are automatically deleted by Android when space is needed or when you clear the app's cache.

Saved output files in Downloads/PDFOne/ remain on your device under your control and can be deleted at any time.

PDFOne integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• AdMob Google AdMob — advertising (free tier only)
• Billing Google Play Billing — subscription payments
• ML Kit Google ML Kit — on-device OCR & text translation
• CameraX AndroidX CameraX — document scanning

All ML Kit processing occurs entirely on-device. No document content is sent to Google for OCR or translation.

PDFOne Premium includes AI-powered features (AI PDF Chat, AI Summarizer, AI Question Generator, Translate PDF) powered by the Anthropic Claude API. When you use these features:

• Extracted text from your PDF is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response.
• Only the text content is transmitted — never the original PDF file.
• Data is handled per Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• You may disable AI features at any time by not using them.

PDFOne is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please get in touch with us so we can address the situation promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted within the app. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of PDFOne after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
